7 Blogs Every Construction Professional Should Follow

Keeping up with blogs might not be your top priority, but there are some great resources out there that offer valuable insights on improving receivables performance, advancing business practices, and adhering to a changes in construction law.

As chief legal officer of zlien, I spend a lot of time sifting through various legal and business publications. Over time, a chunk of those have risen to the surface as my favorites and most valuable. These blogs will help any construction professional improve receivables, keep up with law changes, and grow their business.

1) zlien’s Construction Payment Blog

I’ll be frank and say that I believe we offer the best of the best content for construction professionals. If you aren’t already a subscriber, you can sign up here to receive updates. The Construction Payment Blog (CPB) aims to cover everything that falls under the umbrella of construction payment:

TrueAccord is a debt collection solution. Their blog takes a holistic approach to debt collection. ZenCash is a virtual accounts receivable platform. In addition to providing information about this interesting technology solution, their blog focuses on various aspects of getting paid. Though not specific to construction, ZenCash’s insights are helpful to anybody looking to improve their receivables performance. As its name suggests, JDSupra has a legal bend and their Construction Law section (linked above) is a great spot to find updates about significant legal events in construction. Though perhaps geared more towards attorney readership, this blog is beneficial to those who want to read up on legal decisions that could effect their business.
